Sasbachwalden can easily be reached by car or train. The villages is located in the south-western part of Germany close to France and Switzerland.
Arriving by car
- Head onto Autobahn A5
- Take exit 53 on A5 - Achern/Strassburg/Paris
- Follow the signs on road L87 to Achern
- Take exit on left to Achern.
- Drive through the city until you get to the roundabout close to the police station.
- Take the first exit to the right on the roundabout
- Keep on the road and go straight to Sasbachwalden and follow the street
- After a climb of about 100 meters, take a left up hill leaving the bank "Sparkasse" to your right
- Turn right on 2nd exit after about 200 meters
- Take first exit on the left to enter Brandbach road
- You have reached your destination.
Alternative routes: If your ride starts in Stuttgart or from the Lake Constance, you may alternatively take the route via the city of Freudenstadt, although a bit longer.
If you do, you have to cross Freudenstadt and then follow the B500 state road. Follow the signs to Sasbachwalden. As soon as you are in the village you see the bank "Sparkasse" on the right, turn right and go up hill.
Arriving by public transport:
If you plan to take the train, get a ticket to Achern Bahnhof. The ICE train stops in Baden-Baden and Offenburg. From there it is 10-20 minutes by suburban train to Achern.
From there you can take the bus line 7123 which goes direct to Sasbachwalden. Alternatively, you can call a taxi.
- By train to Bahnhof Achern
- Take bus 7123 to Sasbachwalden. Exit at bus stop Sasbachwalden Gaishölle (about 15 minutes bus ride)
- After exiting the bus, take a 10 minute stroll by foot to the apartments.
- You have reached your destination.
Arriving by plane:
Because of the proximity to France and Karlsruhe, Frankfurt and Stuttgart you have quite a few options:
- 30 minutes by car from Airport Karlsruhe Baden-Baden (FKB)
- 50 minutes by car from Airport Strassbourg (SXB)
- 90 minutes by car from Airport Stuttgart (STR)
- 105 minutes by car from Airport Frankfurt (FRA)
