Attractions

Sasbachwalden - located at the west point of the highest mountain in the Northern Black Forest - is a beautiful village with charming timbered houses.

You will find relaxation from every day life. Sasbachwalden is well known for being a treatment and health resort. It is considered a climatic spa because of its climate, which is said to be beneficial to health.

There is a public outdoor swimming pool, which our guests can use from May until September.

Good to know:
The Konus Card offers our guest the possibility to use public transport throughout your stay - in all of the Black Forest area! It also gives your whole family unlimited access to the public swimming pool "Erlebnisbad Sasbachwalden" throughout your stay.

The pictures below show the public swimming pool facilites, while on the right side you see a picture of the 2015 newly inaugurated Schaeffler MTB-Arena bike park which offers you that extra adrenaline rush you or your kids may be looking for. For kids or BMXers alike, starting in April 2016 a pump track for BMX will become available 400 metres away from the apartments.

Since 2015, in spring, summer and autumn the regular bus offers a bike trailer to carry you and your bike up hill to the highest peak on more than 1100m above sea level. On weekends, the local mountainbike club offers shuttle rides up to where the trails start. In winter, there is an opportunity to go skiing or luging as there are about 20 ski lifts in the region with track lengths starting from 150 to 1000 meters. Some of the tracks are even open at night for skiing using floodlight.

During the day, you can go shopping in many of the small, cute stores in Sasbachwalden which offer local specialties and souvenirs. In the evening, you have a choice of around 20 restaurants and bars to taste the wonderful, locally grown wine of Sasbachwalden, regional beers and delicious dishes of our region.
